Back by popular demand: the 'Rockabilly Lunch' was once again hosting by Asda Bletchley and raised a fantastic £1,817.24 for the very worth while cause 'Henry Allen', a local 3 year old whom is battering cancer. As the BBQ got hot, so did the weather and customers from all other Milton Keynes flocked to have a free lunch. Now, who said there's nothing like a free lunch!!!...at Asda there is! Not only a free lunch but fabulous entertainment. Part of the entertainment were our friends the 'Smart Rockers' who rocked the event. Customers were amazed at their dancing abilities, and due to their fun, relaxed approach to dance customer were not afraid to join in. Dancing to a medley of their own classic favourites, the dancing did not end there! The rockabilly band: The Broadway Twisters played two sets either side of the rockers slot but the rockers were on top form dancing along to the Twisters tunes as well as their own. Henry Allen's mum Dawn said "their brilliant, I can't believe all these people have turn up to support my little boy". The event was made that little bit more special when Henry turned up, and he too joined in the dancing which made everyone smile, he loved it. I'd personally like to say a huge THANK YOU to the Smart Rockers once again for supporting the event and taking the time to join us in some Rockabilly fun. They add something very special to the event, and lets face it! their dancing is breath taking. Adele Johnson Community Life Champion Asda Milton Keynes June 2013 Hi to all the Smart Rockers! The costumes the music and your great dancing helped to make our fun day a great success, it all goes to prove that rock and roll is here to stay! You are like a happy family group of people, everybody was inspired by your uplifting enjoyment of the event. Which will encourage others to perhaps have a go themselves.
